Bradley is a 17 year old student at Pathways in Walker. I have the pleasure of teaching him math. He is working very hard and making wonderful progress toward earning his GED.

Bradley was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis when he was only 2 years old. He has a VERY aggressive tumor between his left eye and his brain which has left his eye dead. Bradley is preparing to undergo yet another surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible as well as to remove his left eye. His doctors also plan to perform plastic surgery to repair the damage. Despite discomfort, pain, multiple surgeries and chemo treatments, he is still a very well-mannered, positive, and determined young man. He says his only wish is "to just look normal so people will not stare at him or make him feel abnormal."

Bradley is one of a family of 7 with only one income. The Social Security Administration has denied every attempt to get financial assistance for Bradley's treatment. Medicaid helps with a large portion of the medical expenses, but does not cover everything, and as you can imagine, the medical expenses are very high. This is the family's very first attempt to reach out to the community for help. Any amount of donation would be greatly appreciated.
