My family has been through alot this year. On February 15th My Dad passed away just 5 days after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer, and then 12 days later Mom passed away. Both very unexpectedly. Not to mention my oldest brother passed away December 1st 2010 at the age of 30 leaving 5 kids behind. Holidays were always a huge thing for my family especially Christmas, Mom and Dad always did so much during the holidays. Every year full of wonderful traditions full of love passed down through generations,and got all the kids gifts. This year after all the loss and hurt I wanted to carry on their traditions as well as get the kids gifts in honor of Grandma and Grandpa but with some unexpected bills and other things it looks like there isn't going to be a Christmas at all this year. All I wanted was to give these kids the joy and love in their hearts that they deserve how we did as children, and remember the Christmas past and our loved ones who have moved on from this life into heaven. It was a way to show them that life does go on after loss, and how to remember them through traditions and memories and how to celebrate those we love who have gone away to a better place.
