USA Eagles - Hard Work Pays Off Part II - ITALY
Thank you Thank you Thank you. You’re far too kind. As many of you may know, back in late March I was selected as 1 of very few men to travel to Germany to play my 1st international football game. Well guess what? Your boy is going back for an ENCORE performance!! Just got word that I have once again been chosen to participate in international play but this time it’s in ITALY!!
This July we are traveling to Torino, Italy to play the Torino Jaguars July 13 in Charity Bowl 2013. The Jaguars of Torino are members of the LENAF in Italy and are currently 7-1 and heading into the league playoffs. The Charity Bowl will benefit Unione Genitori Italiani Parents of Young Children who are battling cancer. See more on them at http://www.ugi-torino.it/chi-siamo.html.
On July 20 we will also face the Italian National Team at the Seaport Resort of La Spezia. (do a Google search on this port city to view photographs of the area. This is one of the towns that has made the Italian Riviera famous all over the world). The game will benefit The Associazone Italiana Contro Le Leucemie-Linfomi e Mieloma which is an organization that strives to improve the lives of patients and family who are battling blood disease, lymphoma and melanoma. This is where YOU come in. Last game I was overwhelmed with the amount of support friends and family were able to show in such a small period of time(2 weeks). This time around I’ve got a little over a month to reach my goal of $5000. With friends and family like you I am not worried. (no I am not buttering you up)
I’ve been humbled by the experience that you all have provided not only me but the children and families we are able to help out through your donations. To show my sincere gratitude I have been doing my best to reach out and send an email thanking each of you individually or in some cases send an actual game jersey or some sort of team apparel letting you know your support is appreciated.
Please donate whatever you can and spread the word to any and every one you think can help out!
