Filly and Billy were 2 young street kittens that I fed on the street daily. One day, Filly stopped eating altogether. He'd go near the food and meow like he's so hungry and leave again. I discovered that his mouth was infected and started festering very quickly. I set up a trap and took him to the vet who confirmed that herpes virus had destroyed one side of the mouth and the teeth. He was immediately rushed to the surgery room for deep cleaning of the mouth and removal of the bad teeth. Filly was boarded there for a long time fighting for his life.

Unfortunately, his brother Billy stopped eating a couple of days after I rescued Filly. He sat there in complete surrender, almost eaten by ants. So only 2 days later I took him to join his brother. His mouth was mildly affected, but his eye suffered an ulcer.
After a long journey of treatment, the boys finally went to a great foster home.

There, the bonded siblings flourished and got ready for rehoming by getting microchipped, full vaccinations and neutering.
Now they have a chance to travel where they can have a permanent home. Their flight expenses are the only step between them and starting a new happy life after suffering for so long.
