Hello Everyone,
My name is Ezekiel Ivri, and I am a 16-year-old wrestler from Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, with a deep passion for the sport. This passion started in 2013 with the Brock Jr. Badgers wrestling team and I have been wrestling for them ever since. This year, I have been blessed with the incredible opportunity of competing in the U17 Pan American Games as a member of the Jamaican National Wrestling Team.
From a young age, wrestling has been more than just a sport to me; it has instilled values that I carry with me throughout my daily life. I began training with the Brock Jr. Badgers and since have continued my training with the Brock University varsity wrestling team. This training has helped me to develop as an athlete and perform at a higher level to prepare for the journey ahead. In addition to my training at Brock, I am an active member of my high school wrestling team at A.N. Myer Secondary School, where I am coached by Gary MacDonald. These experiences have allowed me to compete across Canada and the United States and earn medals along the way. This year I am honoured to have been chosen to represent Jamaica at the U17 Pan American Games in the Dominican Republic on June 30th. This is a dream come true and I am grateful for my family, who has stood with me every step of the way as well as the many opportunities that I have been blessed with.
Participating in the Pan American Games comes with many expenses, such as travel and competition costs. It would be much appreciated if you could donate whatever you can; every contribution, large or small brings me one step closer to my goals. I am more than grateful for everything my community has done to help me get to where I am today.
