Hello, my name is Robert Gruhn and I am a 73 year old Elder Citizen. I am currently in need of funds for my survival! I can become homeless soon if someone out there does not help me!
My most recent job was as a caregiver, I spent over 20 years as caregiver to my mother and father. The first 16 years was for my mother Dorothy until she passed away, and then for 4 1/2
years caring for my father Albin until he passed. It was a labor of love!
After those years I went on to do many years of caregiving for other elderly people. I also cared for some with Dementia. In fact, my last patient was a wonderful 81 year old gentleman named David who passed away last December.
The reason I say he was my last patient is because since he passed, I have had my own physical problems and at 73 can no longer work.
Last January 4th I was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance because I suddenly could not breathe, I was diagnosed with Covid -19 Pneumonia. I spent 10 days in the hospital before being discharged. I nearly passed away.
Then in March I was again rushed to the hospital with a 31 pulse heart rate and again could not breathe, I was rushed into surgery for a temporary pacemaker. I spent 17 days in the hospital and during that period had a permanent heart ♥ pacemaker installed and later had to to have a Bovine Cow Valve operation to replace my Aortic heart valve which had a congenital defect from birth. I nearly passed away from that episode.
Then in April I fell and fractured my neck in 3 places, my shoulder in 4 places and broke my arm just below my shoulder.
Needless to say, I am now disabled and can no longer work.
This why I am humbly asking for your financial help at this time in this fund raiser!
When I was a younger man, 30, I was a graphic designer and designed MLB Hall of Fame baseball player San Francisco Giant Willie McCovey's Career retirement print of which I still have 40 signed arist prints of which there are only 58 and for any donations of $444.00 I will send one to you, the print is in full color 27" x 36" from an original oil painting that measures 36" x 48". Willie's # was 44!
