It’s always been my daughter and I. The two of us against the world. We have been through so much, homeless twice, lost everything in a fire… all I ever wanted was to give her a good home and a decent life.

 I moved to Kentucky in the Spring with my tax refund, trying to find an area with better jobs. I’m working but we have nowhere to live. Everything I make is to keep us temporarily housed in an Airbnb or a hotel. It’s not working, it’s only making things harder. We aren’t living, only surviving. I want to settle down so she can attend school (instead of online) and have a life again with other kids her age. I wanted to make things better for her, I’ve only made them worse. Her father hasn’t paid child support in years and owes her a great deal. He is an addict and unable to be there for her. 

  I’m trying to get enough together so we can pay a deposit and move in to a home of our own. We have dogs and cats that are our family and if this continues we will lose them. The dogs are Gabby’s lifeline and give her emotional support. I’m scared, tired and running out of hope. I’m down to my last bit of money. If you are moved to do so, please help us. Help me be a good mother and take care of her, of us.
