For 10 years I have had the dream to live out my silver and golden years in a van.

After full time single fathering for 20 years there was light at the end of the tunnel. At the beginning of 2022 I purchased an inexpensive 2003 Dodge van - because it's all I could afford, it ticked off the box of being a van, was more or less well taken care of, and was a good foundation for working on it to build out into a home on wheels I've dreamed about for a decade.

She ain't pretty on the outside, but for the year she's pretty dang nice there. Inside, she is beautiful. Everything works - even the automatic fold down bed in back. Updated Bluetooth stereo and aftermarket alarm. Mechanically, expected issues with a van of 20 years. unfortunately, the first big issue came at a not so great time.

I have missed significant amounts of work due to severe dental health issues, family concerns, working with my youngest (18 years) toward self sufficiency, and my own mental health struggles (which prompted this whole dream, to begin with) and literally have only $47 to my name. That doesn't even fill half the tank right now, let alone speak to insurance payments, rent right around the corner, and other bills.

I am only seeking enough support to address the fix of the van, estimated to be about $1000, in addition to my rent and internet bill, which come out to be just about $1000. I just want to keep things moving forward after these 20 years and decade long dream without this snafu derailing the whole thing.
