At the beginning of February Zlochevska family traveled from Chernihiv to Turkey as a precaution in case invasion happens. Solely trusting their source in the US and funded by this source.

They hoped to return to Ukraine later in March, and left everything behind. Unfortunately, Chernihiv became one of the first zones of fighting, and the family cannot return to their home. Their recent expenses have been taken care of, as they left their home with one suitcase and 4 backpacks. Their tickets to Mexico have been purchased, they along cost $3500, with the possibility of having to stay for 2-4 month there to complete the refugee paperwork process. That's not counting tickets to Turkey, stay in Turkey, groceries and necessities in Turkey and Mexico and everything needed to establish safe life away from the country they knew and loved while waiting out this war. They are no longer able to return to Ukraine, not only because their city was destroyed but also because there is no way back into Ukraine. We would love to help more people at this time, and have done so by sending funds to numerous families to purchase needed groceries and supplies - but our hearts have been specially touched by this family and their story.

We are sharing their story as some may have it in their heart to be a part of their journey. 100% of funds raised will go to support this family and their journey to their new, safe home.
