In 1990 Kevin Tarrant founded the Silvercloud Singers, an inter-tribal Native American singing and dance troupe weaving the traditional with the contemporary of Native song and dance.  The group spent the last 30 years performing around the United States and the world.  On Monday, May 4 we lost Kevin to complications from Covid 19 at the age of 51.

Kevin was a husband, father, brother, cousin, uncle, friend, and teacher for many people in our Native community of New York City and beyond.  He was a cultural bearer and theatre artist.  With Safe Harbors NYC alongside his wife, Muriel Tarrant, and daughter Henu Josephine, they toured many Native communities influencing the next generation with his art and theatre-making.   His loss leaves a gap that will be impossible to fill.

The remaining members of Silvercloud, his brothers, have created this fundraiser on behalf of his family.  The funds will go to support Kevin's funeral costs and to help his family move forward without him.  We thank you for your support as we work to send our leader and brother on his journey as best we can.
