Cutting Edge is a non-profit documentary series
on YouTube created by GnC Films that examines various areas of film
censorship, which is presented exclusively for free on the world's
foremost anti-censorship website, Melon Farmers.
A small, but dedicated, team of people from around the globe spend
many hours researching materials, writing articles, recording
voiceovers, mailing videos and DVDs, creating graphics and editing
episodes - all of which is done on their own time and without compensation.
But right now we need a little help. After a very successful first season, we're now in the
process of making Season 2. However, in order to successfully
produce episodes for the rest of 2016, we need your help. Your
contributions, no matter how small, will go towards many areas of
production, including:
- Obtaining videos, DVDs and Blu-rays of various films to use as
visual examples of censor changes
- The purchasing of musical samples to help with the composing of
original music for the show
- Paying actors to record voiceovers and narration
- The purchasing of licensed motion graphics for use as video backgrounds
- The purchasing of hardware (e.g. digital video tapes, audio
equipment) to be used in the creation of the series
You can contribute as little or as much as you wish to. Any money we
raise will go towards the funding of Season 2 episodes.

receive an on-screen credit as an Executive
Producer on the episode that was created with your help
- Selecting the $20 Perk gets you an on-screen
credit and a DVD containing the episode you funded
- Selecting the $50 Perk gets you all of the above,
plus the entire first season of Cutting Edge on DVD.
As it stands, we have close to 800 YouTube subscribers and a
dedicated fanbase on our Facebook page who continue to champion and
support the series. In fact, our YouTube subscriptions doubled during
the first season of Cutting Edge. We really want to keep the fans
watching by continuing to produce episodes, and your donations will be
