The Global Inspiration Initiative is a Toronto based non-profit agency providing motivational speeches and mentoring programs for elementary and high school youth in Canada. The program will form partnerships with local businesses, school districts, and youth organizations. The Global Inspiration Initiative’s goal is to foster a commitment to young people that will promote pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and reassert a sense of hope in the future.
The Global Inspiration Initiative is a program that is in direct response to the growing number of young people that are either falling through the cracks at school or are already entangled with the juvenile court system. The goal of the program is to identify youths who are going to have a turbulent transition to adulthood and offer a positive support system to avoid the pitfalls that can derail their lives. The focus is slightly different at each level but the goal remains the same; empower the young person to make positive changes in his/her life.
Through our motivational speeches we will expand the perspective of young people to make them aware of life’s possibilities.
Through our one on one counselling we will empower youth in establishing goals and following through on commitments.
As a non-profit agency we understand that this is only possible with the continued support of our local sponsors, private donors and a strong network with local school systems, and youth organizations. We will also continue to launch different fundraising activities that will successfully contribute to fund our expanding program.
Our next project is a documentary film highlighting our work in the community. This film is intended to give our audience a first hand look at the impact our motivational speeches and mentoring programs have on the youth at different facilities and organizations. Our goal is to provide a visual that can be used as a motivational tool to inspire change.
All the money raised in this fundraiser will be used to film, edit, package, and promote our documentary.
