Daniel & Evelyn Rempel are a Maple Ridge couple with 2 young children. Earlier this year Daniel was diagnosed with cancer of the tongue. They set up a blog so their family and freinds could follow their progress as they were caught up in this unexpected journey that would test their faith and bring them to their knees in daily trusting the Lord to bring them though this difficult trial. When I read on Facebook that they spend over $100 a day on his meds, food, and supplements ~ it broke my heart. I realized that although I could not financially donate a large portion, I could perhaps contribute to a day or a portion of a days expenses to help them on this journey--as they do not need any additional stress as Daniel heals. I was so impressed in their careworker advising them to give Daniel pure, nutritious food in his G-Tube, not canned and processed remnants.
