My first major road trip Starting in Central Florida ~ San Antonio, Texas ~ Roosevelt, Oklahoma ~ Eau Claire, Wisconsin ~ Central Florida

Please read my story and help me take this VERY IMPORTANT trip!

A girlfriend and I are leaving Central Florida headed towards San Antonio, Texas to see my uncle and visit my aunts grave who helped mentor me through my teen years. Plus meeting up with my girlfriends sister that she hasn't seen in 10 years. I'm a huge star gazer!! While growing up going through hard times like every other teenager who feels alone in what they are going through, my dad took me outside and said 'look up you see the stars they are ALWAYS there for you to look at and talk to' I'm so excited to get a chance to see one of the largest meteor showers peak nights under the unpolluted dark west sky.

Heading north to Roosevelt, Oklahoma to celebrate my dad's birthday and spread his ashes in his home town with his sisters. See all his old 'stomping grounds' and learn more about how he grew up and became the nicest, caring, giving, moral human I've ever met. My dad was my best friend and he passed away two years ago out of no where. He went to bed one night and never woke up. It has been the HARDEST thing I have ever been through an sure that I will ever go through. It has taken me the last 2 years since he passed to finally start getting my life back on track after he passed. To explain how close we were we spoke every day and saw each other 5-7 days a week for 5 years before he passed. I am the person that I am today because of my dad. He always did the morally right thing even if it was going to make him sad or things harder for him. I spent 3 years before my dad passed making a name for myself as a community volunteer and showing people in the community who I am. Being brought up by such a amazing ole school farm boy those are the same values I have. Which not many people are just here to help. Ever since I was younger I have been a caretaker and I LOVE helping others! The only thing that brings me true happiness is to make someone smile or make a situation that they are going through easier

Then headed to my final family stop in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to visit my biological father and step mother. This will be my last chance to see my step mother who is the person that pushed my father to have a relationship with me. She has terminal cancer that has spread rapidly through her body with no remorse. Having a DNA test with my father to finally legally be his daughter. I met my father briefly when I was 8 yrs old, he popped in about once a year for a few hours to promise gifts and adventures the next time, till I was about 13. When he got with my step mom he called more frequently and I went to visit them in Minnesota a few times. But we were never close because he never tried to be close with me; and now as an adult I didn't need a dad I had one and a great one. When I turned 21 him and my step mom started to visit about twice a year. So, we started to come closer because he finally showed me that I was important to him. My father knew my dad and has always been grateful that I had such a wonderful teacher. They always got along and when they came to visit family dinner always had my dad and my father.

Then when my dad passed for some reason inside I started pushing my father away some. I'm not sure if I felt it takes away from my feeling for my dad or what. My father has been very strong on trying to keep growing our relationship. Which it has been a little easier letting him back in now that I am through the intial grieving process of my dad.

. I will be turning 30 years old in a few months and want to begin this new chapter in my life " Mature Adulthood" with a free and open mind. With all of my past chapter finished in a way.

  3. How will the funds be used?
Outline how the money will be allocated to specific programs, resources or services.
