For 10 years, I have been fighting to survive after being wrongly evicted and losing in court despite having receipts.

I left my hometown and ended up in Charleston, SC, where I was bullied by police for sleeping in my van. When my van broke down I was forced into dangerous situations, some of which were pushed onto me by law enforcement.

After being trespassed from areas I wasn't even in, I began to feel like I no longer belonged in America. Things reached a breaking point when a major business accused me of living on their property, which they couldn't prove, and my evidence was dismissed. A police officer coerced me onto the property to arrest me, repeatedly spitting at my feet until I reacted. I was taken down to the pavement, my arms pinned by the manager and my legs by the officer, who slammed my head into the ground while yelling at me to stop resisting. No trial has been set, and I feel completely done with America.

I need funds to rent a vehicle so I can gather my belongings from storage, cover travel expenses, and relocate to Canada. My hope is to start a new chapter where I can live peacefully and pursue my passion for writing books and music while I am also currently doing online classes for a degree in Media.

This move represents a fresh start after years of hardship and feeling out of place.
I was born in America, a place I wanted to call home and live a decent life. Now, at 40, that goal has been negated by too many troubles that caused deep financial hardship and debilitating health issues. While there have been some good times, the bad has outweighed the good, and it's time to move on.
