The Problem

Life can feel like a circus, full of high-wire acts where we juggle the demands of business, family, and health.

Kimberly finds herself in a precarious situation, navigating the need for critical medical care with daily life and cherishing it while she can.  With your compassionate support, we can ensure that the show goes on for her.

Kimberly is battling Osteo-Necrosis of the Jawbone (commonly referred to as Necrosis of the Jawbone or ONJ), a life-threatening condition. Medical expenses are soaring. Unfortunately, she is uninsured for the crucial medical and dental procedures required to combat her debilitating infection. Each day that the infection continues her risk of permanent injury and death increases. The projected cost for the comprehensive treatment plan amounts to $50,000.

The Solution

We believe that hosting a medical benefit fundraiser accompanied by an auction of exceptional items will provide Kimberly with her best chance at survival. This event is not just a means to raise medical funds, it is also a unique opportunity that benefits everyone involved.

We’re turning this tragedy into a demonstration of community resilience and collective strength, with a mission to save Kimberly’s life while simultaneously influencing public health policy and improving health outcomes for others encountering similar challenges in the future.

Our event is scheduled to take place in Marin County, California, in mid-May. Once we finalize our founding sponsor, we will announce specific details regarding the date and venue.


The Specific Asks

In addition to monetary contributions to reach our fundraising goal, we are seeking the following support:

Aucton Items: We are looking for services (and products) that save time, or offer fun experience or enriching learning opportunities. Businesses willing to donate will benefit from 30 days of digital exposure, physical presence at the event, and synergy with a crucial public health initiative. The earlier businesses join our effort, the more refined their offerings will be for both the digital showcase and the live event.

Event Production Team Members: We are in search of dedicated volunteers to fill various pro-bono roles crucial for producing this meaningful event:

  • Operations: Executive Producer, Stage Manager, Volunteer Coordinator.
  • Professional: CPA / Treasurer, Legal Counsel.
  • Growth: Marketing Specialist, Media / PR Lead.
  • Storytelling: Lead Videographer / Documentarian.

Mission

Raise $50,000 for life-saving medical treatments for uninsured patients while advocating for healthcare reform regarding the over-reliance on antibiotics versus safer, more effective treatments like Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT).

Highlights

  • Activities Planned: Live performances, games, food, and drinks.
  • Aesthetic: Described as "Sophisticated Cirque"—expect black-tie attire, ethereal lighting, avant-garde performers, and a high-end atmosphere (not a children’s carnival).
  • 30-Day Digital “Sideshow”: A “Star Performer” will be revealed every few days to build anticipation and keep attendees engaged.
  • In-Person Auction: Featuring products and services designed to enhance the lives of donors while providing learning opportunities.

The Case for Support

  • Systemic Policy Gap:  Lack of oxygen to damaged tissues perpetuates infections. Over-reliance on antibiotics risks creating more damage and contributes to antibiotic resistance, a significant global health threat. This issue increases the risk of developing "superbugs" like ampicillin-resistant Enterobacter spp.
  • Goal: Raise $50,000 to cover hyperbaric sessions, specialized surgery, and recovery costs while advocating for safer treatment therapies that address the underlying problem.

The "Creative Council"

We are seeking pro-bono volunteers for the following positions, which will be publicly acknowledged during the event:

  • Amenities: Two performance stages, commercial kitchen, bar and an adjoining garden patio.

  • April 15: Launch of the "30 Days of Wonders" online auction.
