Hello, my name is Bardy Fonseca Vargas. I am from
Costa Rica, a proud wife and mother.
Today, I
would like to share a very personal story, with the hope of having
your support.
My son is about to graduate in Singapore with an International Baccalaureate, an achievement that represents years of effort, discipline, and dreams fulfilled. He has shown great maturity, commitment, and sacrifice, as it is not easy to leave his family at such a young age and move to a country so far away, with customs and environments very different from our own. He has adapted well and feels deeply grateful for the valuable opportunity he has been given. As a mother, my greatest wish is to be there, look him in the eyes, and say, “You did it, champion.” For any parent, that moment is truly irreplaceable.
However, traveling from Costa Rica to Singapore is a long and costly journey. In addition, I live with a neuromuscular condition called Charcot-Marie-Tooth https://www.charcot-marie-toothmayoclinic.org/es/diseases-conditions/charcot-marie-tooth-disease/symptoms-causes/syc-20350517, which makes long trips physically more demanding for me. Even so, I want to make something very clear: I am an active, independent person, committed to always giving my very best. I am not defined by a condition; I am defined by my love for my family and my perseverance.
I have worked my entire life with dedication and strong values, and today I allow myself to do something that is not easy for me: to ask for help. Not from a place of pity, but from humanity and empathy. Because there are moments in life when even strong people need a helping hand to make a dream come true.
The funds raised will be used exclusively to cover essential travel expenses: airfare, transportation, and the necessary logistics to complete this journey safely.

Mi mayor sueño: estar presente en la graduación de mi hijo
Hola, mi nombre es Bardy Fonseca Vargas, soy de
Costa Rica, una esposa y madre orgullosa.
Hoy
quiero compartir una historia muy personal, con la esperanza de contar
con tu apoyo.
Mi hijo está a punto de graduarse en Singapur en Bachillerato Internacional, un logro que representa años de esfuerzo, disciplina y sueños cumplidos. Mi hijo ha demostrado madurez, compromiso y mucho sacrificio, pues no es nada fácil dejar su familia tan joven uy partir a un país tan lejos, con costumbres y entornos tan diferentes a los nuestros. Se ha adaptado y se siente sumamente agradecido de la oportunidad tan valiosa que ha recibido. Como madre, mi mayor anhelo es poder estar ahí, mirarlo a los ojos y decirle: “Lo lograste campeón”. Para cualquier padre o madre, ese momento es irrepetible.
Sin embargo, llegar hasta Singapur desde Costa Rica implica un viaje largo y costoso. A esto se suma que vivo con una condición neuromuscular, Charcot- Marie Tooth, https://www.Charcot-Marie-Toothmayoclinic.org/es/diseases-conditions/charcot-marie-tooth-disease/symptoms-causes/syc-20350517, que hace que los trayectos extensos sean físicamente más demandantes para mí. Aun así, quiero dejar algo muy claro: soy una persona activa, independiente y comprometida con dar siempre lo mejor de mí. No me define una condición, me define el amor por mi familia y la perseverancia.
He trabajado toda mi vida con dedicación y valores, y hoy me permito hacer algo que no es fácil para mí: pedir ayuda. No desde la lástima, sino desde la humanidad y la empatía. Porque hay momentos en la vida en los que incluso las personas fuertes necesitamos una mano amiga para cumplir un sueño.
Los fondos recaudados serán destinados exclusivamente a cubrir gastos esenciales del viaje: boletos aéreos, traslados y logística necesaria para poder realizar este trayecto de forma segura.
