Pongo is 14 years old, a senior Dalmatian–local mix I adopted when he was just 45 days old. He’s been with me through every up and down of the last 14 years, and I want to give him the best care I can for as long as he’s with me.

Pongo is currently battling spondylosis, an enlarged prostate, and high gallbladder enzymes. He takes Pregabalin (75 mg) for pain, Finasteride (5 mg) for his prostate, and Ursolin (250 mg) to support his bile flow. Two months ago he also developed gastric retention, so he has been on and off additional medication and now has regular X‑rays and bloodwork every two months.

Lately his spondylosis has worsened, and it’s getting harder for him to stand up. This month his gallbladder enzymes and pancreatic lipase rose so high that he began showing signs of nausea, like licking tree bark, concrete, plants, and soil. Our vet has scheduled an antiemetic treatment plan for Friday, December 12.

I run a small STEM training center and I usually cover all of Pongo’s medical costs myself, but this month his regular bills plus these new tests and treatments have become more than I can manage alone. Any contribution will go directly toward his vet visits, medications, and monitoring, and will help me keep Pongo as comfortable and pain‑free as possible in his senior years.
