Hi, I’m Ondrej Prochazka, a professional pilot from the Czech Republic. A strong passion for the sport has made me chase big dreams, from world records and competition podiums to exploring new never-flown places. My next stop is an adventure of incomparable difficulty.
In June 2025 I’ll take on the world’s toughest adventure race: Red Bull X-Alps. It is a twelve day test of endurance, skill, smart moves and raw determination. I will fly and hike across 1280 Km of Alpine terrain and I am allowed to move just thanks to my glider and my feet.
In 2013, 2015 and 2017 race years, I supported my dear friend and an elite athlete Aaron Durogati. This extensive experience and love for big-mountain flying made me chase the same goal already in 2023. The goal for 2025 is clear, I want to finish the race.
I have been training without stop since the end of the last race. Pure dedication. Additionally, this time, I have decided to setup a crowdfunding campaign. Over the last two years I have spent more time training than working. This was a necessary sacrifice to be able to keep up with the best athletes in the world. With your help I have a better chance to complete this ultimate challenge.
What is it all about?
Racing along with the paragliding elite in the Red Bull X-Alps requires unlimited commitment. Even if I have completed two university degrees, or set world records, nothing can compare with the amount of effort needed for the preparation of this Alpine crossing.
For a physical readiness uncountable hours of hiking and training in the mountains are necessary. Flying like a bird is another key for success, therefore gathering airtime has been my priority and I have clocked another 1000+ hours since the last race in 2023. Lastly, using the best equipment in the industry is essential.
The race is not a personal challenge, it is a team effort. Assembling a skilled support team is as important as all the rest. It’s a massive logistical and financial undertaking. And that’s why I rely on your help, to deal with the financial expenses of the adventure.

By contributing with the above perks you are entering a lottery draw "a raffle" for three tandem-flight gift vouchers. These gift vouchers can be used by you yourself or they can be issued on a name of your friend, wife or anyone you would like to gift it to. The lottery draw will take place in July 2025, after the race finish, and three winners will be announced. These tandem flight gift vouchers do not have an expiration date - unlimited validity.
