In September 2014, I along with the help of some friends decided to transform the courtyard of the four buildings from 5709-5717 Sherbrooke West into an art gallery as a way to discourage taggers from spray painting on the building walls. Inspired by my adopted cat Humbert, each of the now over 40 prints adorning the walls features a cat of some sort.

Alley Cat Gallery, or Cat Alley as it is commonly referred to by residents, has become a local landmark and a delight for children of all ages. We have hosted concerts and vernissages and given away buttons and stickers to our visitors. We take pride in not selling anything.

Thousands of dollars of personal contributions have gone into creating and upkeeping Cat Alley over the last ten years. So in honour of the gallery's 10th anniversary I am reaching out for contributions to ensure its upkeep and prosperity in the years to come,
