HELP EDWIN RUBIS FIGHT FOR HIS FREEDOM

Hello, My name is Carter Wynn, and I've been a friend of Edwin Rubis for over 10-years. Having lived in northern CA during Prop-215, I have witnessed the evolution of our herb laws firsthand, and I want to give-back to all harmed by unfair laws, suffering through unjust incarceration (while the rest of us are allowed to evolve and see legalization across nearly every US State, with exceptions). The truth is, many are still sit behind bars, with near life-sentences.
This fundraiser has been set-up for such an individual. For my friend Edwin Rubis, and his family. We need to raise funds for his legal team and to promote public awareness so he can earn his freedom.
Who is Edwin Rubis?
Edwin Rubis is a 57-year-old father of three sons, Nick, Keanu, and Austin. In 1998 at the age of 29, Edwin was charged with a non-violent marijuana federal offense. The DEA and Government officials pressured him to betray others in the drug trade in exchange for a guilty plea and a 14-16-year sentence. With unwavering courage, he chose integrity over betrayal and took his case to trial. The cost of that choice? A staggering 40-year sentence.
For 28 long years, Edwin has been behind bars, separated from his family. His three sons are now in their late 20's and early 30's, and they have missed being with their father half their life. Also, his elderly mother, Maria, now in her early 80's, wishes for him to come-home before she passes away.
While incarcerated, Edwin has completed over 30 rehabilitation programs and has earned 3 college degrees. He is an asset to our community.
Why do we need your help? We are midway through the battle. We've collected over 137,000 signatures on Change.org asking President Trump to grant Edwin clemency. We've also received support from the cannabis community. Sadly it isn't enough. We need additional funds. We plan to hire a highly specialized clemency and pardon attorney to advocate his case before the US Pardon Attorney's Office and President Trump. The flat fee for such legal representation runs between $20,000-$25,000 dollars.
We also plan to run a month long public-awareness campaign through social media ads, newspaper placements, and a $10,000 to $15,000 digital billboard campaign.
How can you help and make a difference in Edwin's life, rejoicing seeing him walk-out of this unfair incarceration?

Help Edwin reunite with his Family after almost three decades of severe confinement in a Federal prison, for being convicted of "conspiracy only charges", when killers are set free in a decade, yet someone associated with Cannabis receives a virtual life-sentence? How does such injustice happen in the USA, and for what goal? We are all paying for a man to sit in prison who clearly doesn't belong there. It not only makes no moral sense, but it makes no financial sense either.
