Rachel Larsen is the most loving and kind-hearted person who always puts her friends and family first. She has the absolute greatest sense of humor with this amazing contagious laugh that can brighten anyone’s day. She is a devoted daughter, sister, friend, coworker and overall beautiful human being inside and out. In July of 2021, Rachel went to the doctor for a lump she found on her neck. Unfortunately, Rachel was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in December of 2021. Thankfully, they were able to get her started right away with her chemo plan which will last for 6 months as of now. Rachel has always been a big part of the Dundee community. She was a Dundee Crown graduate where she danced her heart out on the Poms Squad and met some of her best friends she still has today. She was a high school leader at her local Church youth group. Rachel graduated from Bradley University in Peoria with a Bachelor’s degree in Retail Merchandising. She came back to Dundee and began her career with Sears Holdings as a Senior Marketing Manager. Rachel stayed with the company for 5 years when she decided to start a new adventure and moved across the country to San Francisco to work for Gap Inc. as a Senior Marketing Manager. Even after living in California for over a year, Rachel still found her way back to Dundee. She just had her 3-year anniversary with Gap Inc. Rachel has continued to frequent all her local favorite spots and plans to keep doing so during her new and rough journey ahead. At this time, her bills are starting to pile up and we have decided to throw her a benefit and be there for the girl who is always there for everyone else. The benefit will be taking place on Sunday, May 22nd at 2pm at Bandito Barney’s Beach Club in East Dundee. All are invited to attend and we are asking for your support during this time.
