I've set up this fundraiser to help a friend, and volunteer Cat Rescuer Katalin Klara Allusson who runs around tirelessly everyday trying to help every sick/injured cat/kitten and rush it to a vet in Ayia Napa Cyprus.
she's one of the most caring people around when it comes to animals. she's constantly being tagged by people to help this sick Kitten, that injured cat and she never says no if it's within her power to help. But now she really needs our help.
Nearly all hotels and restaurants have closed. the tourists and seasonal workers have gone home and this has left the poor cats that were dependant on them without food, water, and care should they get sick
Worse still Katalin will also be stopping work very soon as her workplace will also be closing..this leaves Katalin with no income for at least 6 more months. She will not be able to help any more cats and kittens as she will have no income.
She lives 20 minutes away from Ayia Napa by car..she won't be able to drive back and forth everyday to feed the cats and check if their ok as this costs a lot in petrol. Plus the cost of food to feede them everyday this really breaks my heart so I want to try to help her as much as I can as we can't afford to lose her help.
Katalin is practically on her own in Ayia Napa, it's near impossible to find any help from anywhere in tourist areas especially Ayia Napa it's neverending problems. little or no volunteers to help even with feeding the cats a few hours a week
she already has huge vet bills still owing from the 3 kittens she recently sent to the UK. The kittens were in the vets for over 3 months until they could fly, bringing the bill to over 600 euros just for them..she also has huge vet bills for other sick kittens still at the vet.
this fundraiser will be ongoing and will need to run for at least 6 mths to hopefully help Katalin with cat food, petrol expenses, and vet care for the sick cats when they need it
Please help Katalin to help the cats throughout wintertime, because if not, many especially kittens will starve or be killed on the roads searching for food. please we don't want this to happen.. even the smallest amount is of help..
