Caki has been out and about every day, feeding the street strays - food that is vital to them as Winter bites, to keep their immunity strong.  We are currently launching a Christmas Dinner Appeal, to help feed the pension dogs this festive season, and we hope there might be some left for the street dogs too - if Caki’s supporters are as generous as they usually are.

Caki had been feeding a big, beautiful shepherd dog on waste ground for some time, hoping to eventually earn his trust and catch him, until one morning Caki found him gone - seized by the dog-catchers and dragged away to the hell-hole of Hresa "shelter".  Caki tracked down the dog, now named Max, and saved him... to find that this dirty, wild-looking dog was entirely sweet with people and with dogs of every shape and size. His forever home should not be long in coming.

Another boy who has stolen many hearts is Zeus, one of the friendliest souls you could wish for, and therefore certain to fall foul of the dog-killers as an easy target.  Zeus was sleeping rough in freezing temperatures in the doorway of an empty shop when Caki gave him a taxi-ride to a safe place and the certainty of a new life. Many of you will have been enchanted by his video - sitting in the car and licking Caki’s face, as if saying “Thank you for saving me”.

Luka was wasting away in Praca until  a sponsor stepped up and asked Caki to save him... after looking abject and terrified in the pound, he found the courage to sniff the air inside Caki’s vehicle as if daring to hope that life had taken a turn for the better for him: thanks to supporters like you, it has.  Other new arrivals include Blaze and Loren. 

Among the luck leavers, Bruce, Nera and April all made it to the UK since last month, but sadly Jess died under anaesthetic... RIP little girl.

The route to safety involves both veterinary treatment, vaccinations and legal certification, in order to ensure all dogs are healthy and fit to start new lives in other countries.  This all takes hard work, dedication ... and a great deal of money!  Without the generosity of you, Caki’s worldwide family of wonderful supporters, these dogs would not stand a chance.  Please remember Caki’s Furry Family this Festive Season. FUNDRAZR FEES:  If you are using PayPal then Fundrazr will only work properly with a minimum €5 donation PLUS a minimum €1 "donation" or "tip" to Fundrazr.  Smaller donations, and or donations with the Fundrazr "tip" set to zero, are automatically refunded via PayPal (but you can of course still make a direct payment to Caki's PayPal - see above).

TAX:  The Bosnian authorities have retrospectively imposed a 10% tax on all PayPal and other electronic payments to private individuals received from overseas.  As a result we have to add a further 10% to cover this cost.  Caki is working with professional advisers to find how best to minimise this extra cost, and the potentially crippling retrospective liability: PLEASE MARK YOUR DONATIONS as "GIFT".
