My name is David Cowley, founder of Two-Way Trust Horsemanship. I was raised at the Rafter Six Ranch Resort where I developed my technique for training and working with horses.

My passion for horses is what drives me, along with the desire to share with others the discovery of this same passion, and to educate and improve the quality of horsemanship to benefit both horse and rider. By doing this I feel as though I am giving back and preserving a culture in which I think is very important in our very busy technology filled lives today.

Since having to leave Rafter Six Ranch two years ago, I have had to find a new path in life and have discovered the challenges of making ends meet while working as a horse trainer and clinician. It’s not an easy job putting myself out there, but it’s my dream to educate and inspire others to achieve their dreams and help build confidence in themselves and their horses while creating a livelihood for myself.

Unfortunately, training and clinics aren’t paying the bills and I need to add new skills to help generate some income. My goal right now is to attend the Oklahoma Horseshoeing School this spring. By taking this reputable condensed program it will add another skill set and understanding to my overall horsemanship as well as enable me to progress my career in the horse industry.

In order to achieve this goal I humbly need to ask for your help. I’m not looking for a hand out, but instead I would like to offer my services as a reward at a discounted rate. That money will go directly to furthering my education while attending farrier school, and cover the costs of tuition, farrier tools, and transportation to get down to Oklahoma, as well as the financial support to bring my horse Tucker with me. Having the opportunity to bring Tucker along helps me to continue his training in order to have him competition ready for the Cowboy Up Challenge at Stampede, and for our annual visit up the Calgary Tower.

I would not be asking for assistance at this point if I didn’t need it, unfortunately I am unable to obtain a student or personal loan.
