Dear Friends & Family,

Many of you already know my good pal Lollie. If not, let me give a little backstory. First of all, Lollie is a cat. I picked him off the streets as a newborn kitten in 2004. Since then he has been with me through thick and thin. He's moved with me once for every year of his life (that's ten whole times!). He's travelled overseas with me. He's a ferocious jungle beast, a great snuggler, handsom guy and best friend.

This past Friday I noticed a growth on Lollie's paw which was later diagnosed as a cancerous sarcoma by Penn Veterinary Hospital. The treatment for this type of cancer would be to remove as much of the tumor as possible. This would require removing one or two of his toes as well, however his mobility should not be affected. There is no question in my mind that this is what's best for him. It's been hard coming to terms with the reality of the situation and was just made worse when given an estimate for this procedure.

For the surgery, biopsy, overnight hospital stay, and radiographs the total estimated cost is $2000-$2500. Call me fiscally irrisponsible, but this going to be a little tight.

I didn't want to have to ask anyone for money, but if you've ever met Lollie, seen a photo of him doing something goofy, know the feeling of unexpected medical bills, and want to throw a couple bucks my way, anything to soften the blow would be so appreciated.

Thanks for reading this whole thing.
