The title is correct.   Any donation is tax deductable!  The heartbeat program has 15 dogs to help find rescue and treatment.  Our average is 25 dogs a month, that is usually spread out over the month.  We are August 2nd  and half was to what is the normal average.  Our piggy bank is dry we have a few days... We need funds to help facilitate the treatment and rescue for these animals.   We have proven over and over.  What we are doing works.   If you want to help our shelter lower the kill rate.  Donating to our program does.  If you are not comfortable doing online donations please consider mailing a check.  To  Paws,

Since January 2014, we have saved over 100 HW positive dogs from Aiken County SC death row, with the help of people like you we have found rescues and raised funds for HW treatment and vetting . There are currently 20 dogs in our 'treatment center' in Chesterfield receiving their HW treatment and vetting before being transported to their rescue. We can't do it without the folks like you who care enough to donate. We can't thank you enough.  If you ever have a question about the status of a dog you have donated to (or any of the dogs in our program) just let us know!

Aiken County SC animal shelter changed its long standing policy on June 11, 2014 to allow SOME light HW positive dogs on the adoption floor. Sadly, there are many others who did not 'make the cut'... these dogs are all HW pos and cannot be adopted by the public. Their ONLY WAY OUT is if a 501c3 rescue saves them. This is an open admission county shelter and it is overcrowded. These dogs MUST get OUT immediately!!! This shelter does not have a 'specific kill date', it is simply a matter of space. They aren't allowed on the adoption floor and if no rescue steps up to save them ..... the shelter walls are the last sight they will see. DONATE to their fundraisers, share their stories, help us find a rescue
