Hi Everyone,
I'm Charlie. I'm a rescue dog. I ended up at the
high-kill shelter because I have something called Vestibular Syndrome.
It's not catching. It's not even going to last forever. But with the
shelter being so crowded I didn't quite make the Available for
Adoption section and my future didn't look very bright. Luckily I was
RESCUED. I am now at a veterinary facility being well taken care of
and soon I will be ready for a home of my own.
My rescue friends and I wanted to ask you for help. You see, rescuing us is pretty expensive. Some of us have medical needs; my friend Rosebud is in the same hospital as me. She was found by the side of the road & didn't think she was going to live much longer. No More Homeless Pets Rescue thought differently and took her into their rescue. She is under vet care and really happy that her life turned out this way. Some of us were way to shy to make it out of the shelter. My friend Katie was like that. Sweet and a bit of a wallflower she would be so excited to get out of her cage that when she met people she would bowl them over. Chester got out of bed the wrong side one morning and got a reputation for being grumpy around other dogs, so people didn't want to adopt him. Actually he likes other dogs. He was just having a bad day. There's lots of us in this rescue program and we all owe our lives to rescue.
Some day I know that I will find a human of my own to rescue and that will be a happy, wonderful day. But until that day comes, I am reliant upon rescue to pay for my care.
