Family, Friends, and Past, Current, and Future Supporters – I am asking for your help and support!

I have been competing in the sport of Track & Field since the age of twelve, and have had outstanding careers throughout high school and university.  I am once again making a full commitment to the 400m hurdles and to my track career for the 2014 season.  At the end of the 2013 season, and after just two seasons competing in the 400m hurdles, I was ranked second in Canada, and 45th in the world! In addition, I won the National Championships, and finished 24th at the World Championships in Moscow.

In 2014, I am training to make the national team and once again represent Canada on the international stage.  The Commonwealth Games (a multi-sport competition, held every four years) are in Glasgow, Scotland at the end of July.

Without the full time dedication and commitment I have maintained, I would not have achieved the success I have had to date and would not be able to reach a level of success on the international stage.

I live and train in Windsor, most often six days a week, two to four hours per day. In addition to training on the track and in the weight room, I also spend a large part of my time ensuring I remain healthy with therapy treatments to prevent injury and facilitate recovery.

The list of expenses for a full time athlete is long:

• Travel & accommodation for important competitions
• Training camps
• Competition entry fees
• Training & competition shoes/gear
• Club membership fees
• Nutrition
• Therapy
• Living expenses

Between therapy, travel, numerous fees, and the cost to live day to day, this can become an expensive endeavour!
