Arlena Campbell hasn't added a story.
on may 21 2011 a young womans life changed forever. that night her and her fiance were riding a motorcycle when a careless teenage girl on a cell phone failed to yield. the motorcycle colided with the car throwing the young woman atleast 20 ft in the air. her fiance stayed on the motorcycle which slid under the teenagers car. the young woman had to be shocked back to life. she sustained bleeding in the brain a broken wrist, a broken knee and permanent nerve damage to her lower back and hip. her fiance sustained bleeding in the brainb a compound break to his arm which required a skin graph and broke all the bones in his face. his face had to be put back together by an incision on the bridge of his nose close to between the eyes. the young woman was in the sicu for a week before being released. her fiance about a week and a half. he had recieved a breathing tube while hospitalized and after it was removed had to maintain a liquid diet. this young woman tried to care for herself and her fiance. due to the injury to her back and hip she had to use a walker. she used that walker for about 8 months and taught herself to walk without it. her fiance could not care for himself. she had to feed him cans of soup do to his liquid diet. she couldnt open the soup. they both had broken arms and had no one there. she would have to wait for a neighbor to get home to open the soup which was anytime day or night. it was a long battle on this road to recovery because of a careless cell phone user. unfortunately this young womans fiance lost his battle july 2 about a month and a half after the accident. his brain was still bleeding and his follow up with the neurologist was the following week. he had slipped into a coma at home. he was taken to a hospital and brain surgery was performed. his brain was bleeding to much from the spot that controls your breathing. he was taken off life support while the young woman was told not to be there during this time by her fiances brother. 20 minutes had gone by so she comes back to say goodbye and kiss her fiance for the last time. he is still alive. she tells him that she loves him and that she knows he is in pain. she tells him its ok for him to go and that she will always love him and remember their life together and that on that day even though they did not meet at the altar that she would always be his wife. he takes one last breath and squeezes her hand and hes gone. ever since then this young woman has struggled. she has been place to place. house to house. lost without the love of her life. she will not stay with anyone because she doesnt want to wear out her welcome. she is strong but she needs help. she needs everyones help. she has been looking for a job but has had no luck yet. so i an telling you this story hoping that all gods children will come together to help this young woman. this money will be used to get her situated in an apartment for a few months and to get her a good used vehicle so she can get her life back together. something so tragic and she is an amazing person. a survivor. she deserves to live happily. she deserves life after love.
