Lisa Peger was diagnosed with cancer in her neck in June of this year. She has been going through chemotherapy and doctor appointments trying to pay everything out of pocket with no insurance.  She has exhausted all of her funds and is struggling ...

It is with great sadness I announce the passing of Lisa Peger.

She left us quietly Thursday evening as we gathered at our 40th class reunion.
Though she had fought off the cancer in her neck as can happen with
cancers it can also travel to other parts of your body. The cancer had
gone to her brain. It took her very swiftly she had only been in the
hospital a short time and was being moved into hospice care.

I would like to thank all the people that helped Lisa in her time of need. It
meant a great deal to her to know that she was so loved by so many that
had not forgotten her and total strangers that stepped up for her. A
tremendous thank you to Anita Tomsha ( Carlson ) and her family for
caring for Lisa most especially Janine Carlson Thibideau who has been by
her side helping her through all of this. Janine was with her when she
passed quietly at 6:40 P.M. Thursday June 19th 2014. Lisa leaves a
daughter Angel Peger who lives in Portland Oregon.

Lisa Peger was diagnosed with cancer in her neck in June of this year. She has been going through chemotherapy and doctor appointments trying to pay everything out of pocket with no insurance.

She has exhausted all of her funds and is struggling just to meet her daily needs to survive. Lisa had her children's clothing store "Me and Mom's Too"  in Fairbanks for almost 17 yrs  when she closed the business about seven years ago.

Lisa was born and raised in Fairbanks her family is part of the rich history of Fairbanks homesteading in the area of what now is known as Peger Rd. She has been a active member contributing to the Fairbanks community. We are asking you to help to give back to Lisa for everything she has done and help her in her time of need.

Lisa has been able to get insurance for 2014 through the new program that is helping to pay for her radiation treatments now.

All funds will go to helping her with the debt that has built up and her basic needs. Please open your hearts and make a donation to this person that is so deserving any amount will help her.
