The first annual Puna Benefit for Life will be held on January 25, 2014 from 7pm-11pm (doors at 6pm) at the Palace in Hilo, HI. This music event headlines John Cruz for the first time ever at the Palace Theatre, an acoustic opening set by Alexander Nelson of Walking Spanish from Sacramento, CA., and our local Grateful Dead band Terrapin Station with aerialist performances from the HICCUP Circus.

Puna Benefit for Life was formed in 2013 with the intention of assisting oncology patients in Puna with the often unexpected and overwhelming costs involved with cancer. Organizers of the group were inspired by the incredibly gifted lead singer of Terrapin Station, Stacey Tucker, who is on a personal journey with a rare type of endocrine cancer. Stacey will be performing with Terrapin Station during this event.
We are raising funds to help Stacey with her medical bills and specialized tests that are not covered by insurance and also for her travel to Oahu, California and New Orleans to meet with her oncologist who specializes in her rare type of endocrine cancer. Stacey has three beautiful young daughters and a community that adores her for many reasons including her strength, community leadership and huge compassionate heart.
