Kimber, a Vetean's medical service dog, contracted a rare bacteria that caused a major infection threatening her life. She needs to undergo several surgeries to pull through. Within 3 hours of getting a small cut on her belly from playing outside, the bacteria caused a severe infection, secondary infection, and has caused the skin around the area to die. They have done partial treatment so far for Kimber, treating her with heavy doses of antibiotics, IV's, etc. But the surgery is going to be a must to ensure her recovery. She will then require bi-weekly vet visits to make sure she continues to heal and does not regress. As many of you know, this is too large of an expense for a Veteran to pay alone. Please consider helping this Veteran save the life of the dog that has saved his life!
