Help Us For The Holiday
My name is Rashawnda. I am a mother of three children
ages 8,5 & 9 mos. I was badly burned 97% 3rd degree burns
I was hospitalized at the Shriner"s Hospital in Cincinnati Ohio for
9 painful months I had over 40 surgeries & skin graphs. This
is how everything started I was at my mother house on the
east side of Detroit. I visited her every week end I was living
with my grandmother so I went to my mother house to help
her with my little brother & sisters because my mother was
on drugs (Crack Cocaine) my mother was using candles for
lights & a Kerosene Heater for heat. So that night my 2 sisters
ask me & my mother can they go to a sleep over for a little girl
birthday party around the corner I told them yes & later that
night my mother asked me can I watch my little brother &
she would be back she was leaving with a friend. It was late
around 12:00 am so I laid down on a mattress on the living
room floor with my brother so he could go to sleep but I end
up falling asleep with him all i can remember is waking up on
fire screaming my brothers name over & over again the all I saw
was orange colored flames every where & then I heard my 5 yr
old brother call me name. I found my brother picked him up &
started kicking trying to find away out I then found the door &
collapsed on the front porch & when I realized what happen to
us was 4 months later I had went into a Coma & I woke up out
of the coma at the Shriner's Hospital in Cincinnati Ohio. But the
main thing is that my brother survived with 43% 2nd degree burns
me I survived with 97% 3rd degree burns my left hand fingers
were amputated & 1 finger on my right I lost my nose nostrils
due to that I can easily catch colds. So now I'm disabled unable
to provide for my family I'm receiving SSI benefits but it's only
enough to put a roof over me & my children heads. I know that
Christmas is coming soon & I can not provide a Christmas for
them that's why I'm asking for Donations it would be a blessing
to us anything would help us :) THANK YOU GOD BLESS !!!!!!!!!!
