My name is Peter Walsh, and I am reaching out with an urgent and deeply personal request. My brother Patrick Walshh is fighting for his life.
He has Stage 4 thyroid cancer, and despite aggressive treatment, his condition has stopped improving and has recently taken a devastating turn. Due to the cancer’s progression, his blood has become dangerously thick, leading to widespread clotting throughout his body. He is now riddled with blood clots. His medical team has placed him in a medically induced coma to stabilize him, but he remains in unstable condition and requires daily dialysis.
I am currently in Alabama, and he is in a hospital in Texas. I have been told in no uncertain terms that I need to be by his side. The reality, however, is that I am on a fixed income. Raising the funds for this emergency trip on my own is impossible.
I am not asking for help with his medical bills or long-term care. I am asking for the basic, immediate resources to simply get there and stay long enough to support him.
How the Funds Will Be Used (100% for travel & survival):
Gas/Travel: Round-trip transportation from Alabama to Texas.
Rental Car: A reliable, safe vehicle to make the long drive and to commute to/from the hospital daily while I am there.
Food/Basic Necessities: Minimal meals for myself during this time, as I will be living at the hospital.
Why This Matters:
My brother is in a coma, unstable, and on life support. He cannot advocate for himself, and our family cannot be in two places at once. I need to be there to speak for him, to be a voice, and to ensure he is not alone. Every dollar raised will go directly to getting me to Texas and keeping me there for as long as he needs me.
