My partner Luke and I are a homeless neurodivergent disabled trans couple with two cats that are currently having to live out of a hotel. We have previously been unsuccessful in securing new housing after having to leave our previous residence. We were already considering moving back to Luke's hometown of Rapid City, SD to get back on our feet when an acquaintance there reached out about a potential roommate situation. The only catch is that it wouldn't be available until November 2nd. We are trying to raise the funds to make that happen as well as survive until then.
Breakdown of funds we're trying to raise:
- $2100 towards covering the hotel until end of October
- $800 minimum towards U-haul rental and gas
- $1100 towards our share of regular deposit, pet deposit, and first months rent
- $1000 towards food & supplies for both humans and cats, our medicine, Uber rides, and any other living expenses
