Koh Samui, Thailand:

The story:
While Shannon and her husband Tibor, were out and about, they noticed a cat in a very dirty cage next to a very primitive house. After investigating a bit, they discovered that these TWO cats had lived in this cage, in these conditions, for their entire lives! They were kept by a coconut farmer and family.

Upon further investigation, they discovered that there were also FOUR kittens, and learned that the farmer and family were trying to make money by breeding and selling these poor kitties!

Over time, the couple continued to talk to the farmer, and became acquainted with the family, the cats, and even their dogs. After about a month, they were able to convince the farmer to relinquish the cats!!

Shannon and Tibor brought crates as soon as they could, and (by the hardest) captured these beautiful cats and rushed them to the vet. The cats and kittens were severely underweight, one had mange, and they were scared to death! Being in a dirty cage, exposed to the elements, was the only life they had ever known. Even though their fur disguises their condition, you can feel every bone and every rib stick out when you touch them.

This amazing couple have now spent around $1300 USD / 40,000 baht trying to save this sweet cat family! They paid for all 6 cats to be tested, vaccinated, and sterilized, just so they could be prepared to go into loving new homes and have the great lives they deserve! The couple are not able to take them home, so they have also paid for boarding until we can find adopters. (more on that in a bit).

I am raising money to offset the amount of money that these heroes paid to shut down this breeding business. Every small amount counts, and if you cannot donate, please SHARE!

MEET THE CATS!

PAPA
Papa is about 2 years old. He is neutered, vaccinated, tested NEGATIVE for FIV and Feline Leukemia. He is very loving and sweet. He gets the *award* for being the "Best cat" from the vet!

Mama is about 2 years old, and has the MOST unusual coloring ever! She is spayed, vaccinated, tested NEGATIVE for FIV and Feline Leukemia. She is very loving and sweet.

Boy is about 8 months old. He is neutered, vaccinated, tested NEGATIVE for FIV and Feline Leukemia. He is friendly, adventurous, and so gorgeous, but not really bonded with his siblings.

Derp is about 8 months old, spayed, vaccinated, tested NEGATIVE for FIV and Feline Leukemia. She gets the *award* for being the most affectionate of the family! ** DERP is INDOOR ONLY!

ANGEL AND DAVIDA BOWIE (2 pictures)

This is "Angel" and "Davida Bowie". They are about 8 months old, spayed, vaccinated, tested NEGATIVE for FIV and Feline Leukemia. Angel is Davida's "protector" and Papa's favorite kitten.

Davida * has one blue eye, and one gold eye* and is the runt of the litter. She has mange and had to be shaved, but she will be a GORGEOUS cat when her fur grows out! She is not as socialized as the others, so will need some extra love and attention. Davida gets the award for being the
** BEST eater! **
We think she looks a little like the famous "Grumpy Cat"! :)
