Pray For Sri Lanka
Video Courteousy of Fox News
On April 21st Easter Sunday, a day meant for celebration,
commemoration, and love Sri Lanka declared a state of emergency. Eight
simultaneous bombings took place. Three of which were churches (St.
Anthony’s Shrine, St. Sebastian’s Church & Zion Church), 3 hotels
(Cinnamon Grande, Shang-Ri La and Kingsbury), a residential area
(Dematagoda ) and a Zoo (Dehiwela). These bombings were targeted
towards people celebrating Easter and also tourists.
Currently, the death toll from Easter Sunday's bombings is now 250+ and 521 people left injured. On Tuesday April 23rd ISIS claimed ownership for the bombings. The bombings were apparently in retaliation for the Christchurch mosque massacres last month in New Zealand on March 15. These bombings were aimed at dividing a diverse nation.

The injured are currently being treated and hospitalized at these Hospitals:
Colombo National Hospital
District General Hospital
Negombo
Colombo North Teaching Hospital (Ragama
Hospital)
Colombo South Teaching Hospital (Kalubowila
Hospital)
Batticaloa Teaching Hospital
The Plan:
ALL of the funds raised, except any Fundrazr processing fees,
will be donated to organizations & to the families and
beneficiaries of the bombing to help support people affected.
- Urgent Care for the Injured
- Assistance & Support for those that lost loved ones
- Community Rebuilding
We will provide general help and support to the families of the
victims after this terrible crime. All relevant reporting material
(receipts, bills, statements etc) will be showcased and reported back
to ensure that utmost transparency is maintained at all times.
We will provide periodical reporting of the situation and the
ongoing assistance that will be carried out by ourselves, and all
affiliated organisations that we plan on working with.
The sooner
we raise funds the faster we can support the victims affected by the
devastating event.

About Us:
Immediately following the attack, my sister and I decided to come together and provide assistance to those affected by these bombings.
Aisha & Ananya Kumar
I was born and raised in Sri Lanka Until I was 17. I then went off to University in Canada on a scholarship, where I graduated with a Bachelors in Commerce. Following my graduation I returned to Sri Lanka where I now work for a Canadian based management consulting firm. I've been involved with many non profit organizations such as Kind Hearted Lankans, SERVE, Sri Lanka Red Cross... Just to name a few.
Being a christian and living in Sri Lanka close to, this tragedy
literally hit home for us. We will be coordinating the relief efforts
to victims and families within Colombo and Negombo.
My sister Aisha lived here all her life and has long standing
ties with the Colombo and Batticaloa communities where she has been in
community outreach for years. She personally knows those that were affected.
Fortunately, she was in safe distance away the St. Anthony’s
Shrine bombing on Easter Sunday morning. She witnessed the devastation
firsthand immediately after the explosion and also the panic at the
Colombo National Hospital where the victims were rushed to afterwards.

Your Help:
Based on the nature of this tragedy, we're already providing
assistance to those affected on the ground. The funds will be used by
examining the needs and will be distributed based on priority levels.
Anything you can provide will be greatly appreciated. No amount is too little, and every share helps. You can be certain that it will be a blessing to those in desperate need in these very trying, tragic times, and we hope you can join us as we #Pray4SriLanka.
Thank You, God Bless and Please Pray for the country of Sri Lanka.
