I am raising fund on behalf of Campaign For Safer Alternatives (CASA ) , to assist them in setting up the non profit organization. Campaign For Safer Alternatives is a nonprofit advocacy group that has a goal of ending smoking in Africa. We champion the use of vapor products and electronic cigarettes to bring an end to smoking and help smokers in Africa quit. We strongly advocate for safer alternatives that will accelerate declines in adult smoking. Our goal is to make recommendations that will lead to the end of cigarette use.  We believe that Electronic Cigarettes will accelerate our journey towards a tobacco-free Africa. Most African countries haven’t yet instituted the type of vaping regulations; we seek to disseminate accurate and credible information on harm reduction products that will assist Governments in the region in making informed decisions while passing regulations on harm reduction products.

Currently, more than 8 countries have banned vaping with Ghana and Nigeria set to follow suit soon, yet there is no organization on the continent advocating for harm reduction in tobacco.

The funds you donate will assist in sponsoring legislation that is favorable to the vaping industry and to effectively oppose legislation that is harmful to the vaping industry in Africa. Help us educate the public regarding the benefits of vaping and to dispel the misconceptions about vaping and tobacco harm reduction.

African countries at different levels of economic development need different solutions, advances in behavioral science and technology can play a key role in smoking harm reduction.

As part of our work, our organization supports:

• Lobbying for harm ruction products to be legalized in African countries to provide viable alternatives for smokers intending to quit
• Awareness Campaigns
• Academic research to identify regulatory changes that will be needed to accelerate declines in smoking.
• Advocating for responsible legislative and regulatory policy designed to improve public health
• Educating the general public on the dangers of smoking cigarettes
• Promote the benefits of reduced harm alternatives.
