My name is Kwasi Acheampong, I am the owner of this company. Over the last 7 years, I have been working with volunteers, schools, orphanages and children. I was the Regional Manager for Projects Abroad Ho,Hohoe and Koforidua. During the time of Ebola people started to panic and were wary of volunteering in Ghana although there was no case in the country. This led to Projects Abroad to retract their position in the communities in Ghana. Many people, schools and businesses came to rely on the company and were left with a hole due to their leaving. My volunteer company was set up to try fill in that gap and become the support for those people. A few of my old colleagues from Projects Abroad have followed me over to help set this organization up such as Mickey, kizy and a few others. 

Our commitment as a team working with these volunteers is the love for the children we work for to make things better for them. In fact, working with volunteers is what we know how to do it best. We have taken steps to set up a non profit organisation called OVERSEAS PROJECT INITIATIVE. So far we have had incredible support from the Host families, placements, the communities for bringing back the one thing that brings them hope,happiness and employment. We need your help to raise 2950 US Dollars for office Rent, Build a website,advertisements, 3 computers and 1200 US Dollars for running charges,to hire communications manager, office Assistant, Internet, utilities, Travels and Emergency for 2 months when we expect to have income. I know this doesn't sound the most appealing to give your money to but just think if we can set this up this allows us to help so so many. If we can't get the nitty gritty out the way and paid for we can't do what we all want to do and that is to help the people. In this world we need to care more and if we done that maybe we wouldn't have so much poverty and famine. This is just one small thing to help the world be a little bit kinder, help us and be a part of something bigger. 

Some of the objectives of Overseas Project Initiative include but not limited to the following.

1.To organise Schools and Communities medical outreach for Health education and to register children and women on a health insurance scheme.

2.  To assist in the care and management of children in orphanages and care centres. 

3.To promote micro-finance and entrepreneurship for self-sufficiency.

4. To develop  worthwhile  Medical, Teaching, Care and micro-finance projects for volunteers 

5. Encourage education and exchange programmes .
