I am Farah's sister, Sherell. Farah lost her husband, Cedric on 7/20/15. He was only 42 years old. He had complications during a routine surgery and was in a coma for the past three months. The shock of all of this has been a lot to bear. The last few months, we have all had to face the grim reality that Cedric might possibly leave his earthly body...knowing it might happen, did not soften the blow for those who loved him most. 

I visted with Cedric often and I must say when I was with him last I felt it may be the last time. He looked very peaceful. In fact, I felt the peace of God in his room. Many say there is a glow just before one passes over and I can honesly say, I witnessed the glow on my brother in law. The Lord led me to specific scripture that I read aloud that day. I said my last I love you and see you on the other side that day.

My sister and his immediate family is now facing another mountain...his burial costs. Because of Cedric's health, he was deemed uninsurable and had no life insurance. Many of us have never had to think about the chance that life insurance coverage could be denied. Unfortunately, life insurance companies can and do deny coverage for many reasons or inflate premiums so high many cannot afford.

Cedric had many open heart surgeries, starting in his 30's. He was considered high risk for most insurance companies. Whoever may be reading this, if you know my sister or you knew Cedric please donate what you can to help alleviate the burden of worry from the family. If you don't know them, please consider being a blessing. I am praying that God will touch the hearts of many and that Cedric can be laid to rest in a fitting manner.
