On March 6, 1992 my mother was murdered in our home in St. Charles, MO. My father shortly after was arrested for murder-for-hire. Two years later my father went to trial and was acquitted of all charges. A year after being released the Ferderal Government for some reason decided to arrest my father for murder- for- hire on federal charges. You would think this is double jeopardy but some how they got it through the courts and my father was sentenced to life in prison without parol. To make it even worse we found out recently that my father was sentenced wrong. The statute was changed in 1994 and these are the guidelines they used when they should have used the 1992 statute which he would have been released after 20 years.(Dad is currently credited for 24 years.). 

We need help. My family was wronged by our justice system and my father should be home with me and my family. We have a strong case to get him home and a very strong top notch lawyer on our side. (David Schoen), but the time and effort it is going to take is going to cost more funds than we as a family have.

My father is an amazing person. Although he has not physically been with me over the past 20 years he has been a very big part of my life. I have 3 boys and they love their grandpa. Somehow between phone calls and letters my dad has become a part of my kids lives more than some people they actually see in person, but I dread the day when my kids get old enough that I have to explain why their grandpa is being held against our Constitution. How can I explain this to my kids when I myself don't understand. 

The federal statute requires a violation of state law, the very same laws that dad was found innocent of. Dad was found innocent by a jury in the state trial of; first degree murder, second degree murder, murder-for-hire, aiding and abetting those, and aiding and abetting a burglary. I don't understand how he could be living his life in prison after he was acquitted of all these charges.

My dad is innocent and my family and I need him home.

Please any help is greatly appreciated.
