My church did a very cool thing last Sunday. They took a REVERSE
OFFERING! Instead of COLLECTING an OFFERING they passed the buckets
and had us each TAKE $20. Then we were encouraged to take the $20 as
seed money and see how much we could turn it into during the month of
March. On the last SUNDAY of this MONTH, we all BRING back what we
MADE and the ENTIRE amount goes to Jason and Jen Sharp - the Pastors
of ONE CHURCH St. Louis (www.onechurchstl.com). They are
planting a brand new CHURCH in one of the toughest cities in the US
and we are doing what we can to help!
So now the REVERSE OFFERING RUN. I am training for a 1/2
Marathon this Spring. On March 28th I have a 9 mile run from my home
in Pataskala to the City of Granville. If you would like to help
support the cause, you can sponsor me a $1 a mile (I will run all 9
miles) and 100% of the support will go to ONE CHURCH St. Louis.
Also - the 1st 9 people to SPONSOR me can HONOR a person of
their CHOICE for 1 of the 9 miles. At the beginning of each mile that
morning, I will POST (on FB, INSTA and TWTR) the PERSON you want to
HONOR and the REASON why!
And finally, each PERSON who sponsors me will be ASSIGNED a
number and I will do a DRAWING at the END of my RUN. If I DRAW your
NAME, you will WIN $20.
PS - this is just me running so there is not actual event to attend - just me hoofing it 9 miles to RAISE support for Jason and Jen!
