Local Rescue Centre for Cats

Colchester cat rescue is located in the town of Colchester, Essex by Miss Sheila Parsonson MBE 1926 - 2011 Founder of Colchester Cat Rescue (as stated on website). Founded in 1974 to rescue and rehome cats, the centre relies solely on donations and fundraising to look after over 100 cats - some young, some old.

They sleep in cosy but small homes, with about 2-5 cats in each shelter. The animals are all loved, and well looked after by their hardworking minders, who all donate their own time to helping. Some volunteer as many as 4/5/6 days a week all because they love cats! I recently started investing time befriending and working with some of the more shy and timid cats, and wanted to make a bigger difference, on a bigger scale.

Money donated in May 2015, 5 months from now, will go to the additional funding of bedding, food, towels, vetinary access, and any other costs of the cats at the sanctuary. A local cause that is genuinely worth supporting - however little. £2 or £20 it is money that will be utilised to help cats they make have been abandoned or simply no one wants them. 100% of what is donated will go through Fundrazr to the rescue. Think of what a change we could make if everyone reading donated even just 1 pound. I would love to be able to make a difference to a cause and a species I love so much, but cannot do it without your help.

The greatest of gratitude is given for any donations, sharing, liking, or discussion of the cause - word of mouth is a powerful thing.

Thank you so much for reading,

Charity, (and lots of cats.)
