Good Day Everyone!

I am a filmmaker and aspiring chess grandmaster aiming to host chess events specifically designed to give retired veterans, disabled veterans, youths, and the homeless a chance to participate in organized competitions minus the expensive entry fees and federation membership dues typically associated with traditional chess tournaments.

With the support of individual and corporate/community sponsors, the goal is to raise the funds necessary to cover the prize funds, trophies, catering, venue locations, event banners, and any remaining vendor related expenses.  Ideally, I'd like to host a tournament every 3 to 4 months, the next one being Saturday, September 12th (09/12/20).

I'm aiming to make these ongoing events memorable and incredibly successful.  However, I can't do this alone.  I need all the help/support I can get to make this happen.  As of 3/3/18, I reached my initial goal of raising $5,000 but certainly welcome additional contributions to keep things going for as long as possible. :)
