The Carcross/Tagish Dog Rescue was established April 2012 called Any Domesticated Animal Rescue/Special Protection and Care of Animals and Boarding Kennels (ADAR/SPCA). The rescue was put into place to house dogs that are Behaviour Problems and require special care, rehabilitation and management tools to be re-integrated into homes or left to live out their days in a safe environment.

There is one person who runs this rescue which currently has 60 dogs in house. Since January 2014 to this current date there has been over 100 dogs adopted and at least 30 admissions that are still residing at the rescue to work on their behaviours.

The cost per month is close to $3000.00 for food, housing and off course vet care if required. Dogs come from the Northwest Territories, Alberta and British Columbia.

This rescue is privately run and has 5 acres of secure property for dogs to play, learn to socialize, live in a house environment, eat together, drink together, sleep together, learn house rules and the pack trains them to be healthy happy dogs.

Sometimes the dogs that come stay for years until they are ready to meet their special owners or they maybe to far gone but are managed at the rescue very successfully were they are trained to be helper dogs for any new admissions.

If you are interested in seeing what goes on at the rescue or require more information please email adarspca@gmail.com.
