Kevin was told that his new Insulin Pump supplies would cost around $250 a month. When he ordered his supplies, they totaled $700!. He had enough to cover this month, but doesn't have enough for the next 2 months. Let's help him get his supplies! More ...

Kevin has been a diabetic since he was 11. He married a wonderful woman at 26, who had 3 small children. At 27 he noticed a spot on his eye, but had just started a new job, and had 3 step children to support. He put off going to the doctor for 3 months when his insurance kicked in. The morning of his eye appointment, he took his wife to work at 5am, went back home to get in a short nap, and then get the kids ready for school.  He woke up an hour later to being completely blind from diabetic retinopathy. He was blind for 3 months before the doctors were able to get sight back in one eye.

Kevin has struggled with his blood sugars going all over the place for years in spite of trying many different treatment options from his doctors. Finally in early March his doctor suggested he go on Insulin Pump Therapy.

In March, Kevin was told that his new Insulin Pump supplies would cost around $250 a month. Today, when he ordered all of the necessary supplies, they totaled $700.00. He had enough in his HSA Account to cover this month, but he doesn't have enough to cover his supplies for 2 more months when he will receive another HSA payment.

Kevin is responding very well to Insulin Pump Therapy, his blood sugars are almost stable, his joints don’t hurt from his blood sugars being high for long periods of time and his kidneys are responding positively to the Insulin Pump. It would be a tragedy to have Kevin stop the Insulin Pump and go back to the shots.

We are trying to raise enough money to buy two months of Kevin's Insulin Pump supplies. We need your help. We've been searching for other ways to get help, but he makes $75 too much to qualify to Medicaid. His doctor says he is still physically able to work, so she won't sign the disability paperwork. Kevin's monthly income is $1100.00

Please give what you can. We truly appreciate you. God Bless.

If we raise more money than our goal, we will pay it forward and help another diabetic in need.
