My name is Connie. I am a sister, a daughter, a friend, an aunt, a graduate student and a woman living with AIDS. Last summer I took advantage of an amazing opportunity to travel to Kenya for ten days with my school. While there I spent a day with a wonderful group of women at Living Positive Kenya, an NGO that seeks to improve physical and psychological health and develop the social economic status of women infected and affected by HIV/AIDs and their families in the Ngong slums. That day changed my life and this summer I have an opportunity to return to Living Positive Kenya for eight weeks as an intern. This internship is more than the culmination of my studies at Loyola University Chicago but it is a pivitol part of my professional and personal development in my chosen field of Social Justice and Community Development. I need your help as I strive forward in being a catalyst of change on behalf of positive women across the globe. I recognize that most people can't afford to donate thousands of dollars in this economic climate but $10 here and $20 there will definitely make this fundraising goal possible. With that said I am asking YOU! yes YOU! to please donate any amount that you can afford, share this link with at least ten other people and encourage them to do the same. I am confident that together we can end AIDS and connect positive women around the globe!
