The little boy's name is Daniel, he is 8 years old and is a student at Winfield Elementary School. He has only stumps below the waist. Also, his arms stop at the elbows and he has claw like hands at that point. He was born this way. He has a younger sister and she has no disabilities at all. His dad is a mechanic at a Subaru dealership and his mom is a student at Kanawha Valley Community and Technical College studying finance with a goal of becoming a CPA. These folks are trying to make a better life for their children but clearly the cost of the bike that Daniel dreams of for Christmas is beyond their pocketbook. They are residents of Red House. Daniel goes to Winfield Elem. rather than Confidence Elem. because of his disability and their capacity to accommodate him. He wants a bike like other kids, it's just the bike he needs is a special one with a high price tag. His parents would be very grateful if a bike was possible believing it might help him get more exercise as his weight only makes things a little more difficult for him.
We would like to get Daniel his bike for Christmas.
