When George Turner was 17, he was involved in a life threatening fall off of an oil well pump jack. George endured two years of complicated surgeries and battled through the mental challenges associated with such a horrific accident. The many surgeries left George void of fibia, tibia, and femur bones on his right leg. A 6 inch titanium rod implanted in his right hip is all that remains.

George resolved to begin a new career and in 2003, moved from his home town of Steamboat Springs to Denver, where he enrolled in precision machining and motorcycle mechanics classes at Pickens Technical College. In 2005, George graduated and entered the world of machining. In less than 6 months, George was promoted to performing set-ups as a machinist and continues in that profession today.

George is a key player as a machinist for Tag Team Manufacturing. He works the second shift in the evenings and is doing a terrific job manufacturing quality components for our clients.

Please join us in our mission to raise $12,000 to offset the 20% not covered by the insurance and to pay for physical therapy and fitting expenses for a prosthesis.

We are all focused on a mission to support George in leading a more full life as he pursues his hobbies of camping, fishing, and bicycling. Oh yes, he also has aspirations of getting his license so he can follow his dreams on a motorcycle.
